Overview:
This FAQ helps brands set up and manage Amazon FBA Reimbursements with Pattern. It covers eligibility, setup requirements, and what to expect from the process, so you can recover lost revenue efficiently.

What are Amazon FBA Reimbursements and what does Pattern do?

Amazon FBA reimbursements compensate brands for lost or damaged inventory, incorrect handling of returns, or overcharges on Amazon fees. Pattern handles the process on your behalf: filing claims, gathering documentation, and notifying you of reimbursements — so you don’t have to manage the time-consuming work yourself.

Who is eligible to use Pattern Reimbursements?

This service is available to Marketplace Prep and Middle Mile customers who are enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry.

What is Amazon Brand Registry and why do I need it?

Amazon Brand Registry is a free program for brands with a registered trademark. It helps protect intellectual property, fight counterfeit products, and provides access to advanced selling tools.

Pattern requires Brand Registry details for each brand and seller account to file claims accurately and efficiently.

When will I start receiving reimbursements?

Once your contract is signed and your rate card is updated, Pattern begins processing reimbursements immediately. It may take some time before funds appear in your account.

If you previously used a third-party reimbursement provider, Pattern can review cases from the past 60 days to maximize potential recovery. Sharing existing filed shipments allows us to prioritize the highest-value cases.

What information do I need to provide to set up Pattern Reimbursements?

As an authorized user logging into Marketplace Prep, you’ll be asked to provide:

  • Digital signature for outbound packslips

  • Brand logo for outbound packslips

  • Screenshot of Brand Registry details to file claims

  • Manufacturing price details to ensure accurate reimbursements and prioritize high-value cases

  • Optional: Any cases you wish to exclude from the reimbursement process

Who is an authorized user?

An authorized user is the person designated to provide the required information and complete the initial setup. Your account manager can help identify this person.
