General Shipping & Orders

How can I have Pattern pick-up data to receive an estimate for my shipment?

Ensure all carton data (e.g., dimensions, weights) is updated in Seller Central. Once this is done, the Pattern portal will process the data and generate an estimate. If no estimate appears, please reach out for support.

 

Can users remove or add new shipment IDs to an existing Middle Mile order?

Currently, it’s not possible to add or remove shipment IDs to an existing Middle Mile order.

 

What happens if cartons not linked to any Middle Mile orders are sent?

If your cartons are linked to a connected Seller Central account, the system will automatically create the necessary orders.

 

Do we always send to the same Pattern Warehouse, or can they vary?

We have warehouses located in Hebron, Kentucky & Las Vegas, Nevada available for you to ship to, optimized for your convenience! You can always toggle between warehouses depending on where your goods will be coming from, for the most cost savings. 

 


Amazon & Compliance

How can we avoid Amazon's new placement fees?

To avoid placement fees, you need to ship 5 or more of the same cartons to FBA. For mixed cartons or smaller quantities, placement fees will apply.

 

Do we need to enter a delivery window on our Amazon shipments, or does Pattern handle that?

Yes, we recommend setting a delivery window of 10 days from the shipment date to Pattern.

 

Do we need to confirm transportation options?

Pattern accepts any freight carrier delivering to dock-height doors at our warehouse, and all freight deliveries must be scheduled through GoRamp.

Do cartons shipped from Pattern’s warehouse to Amazon receive priority handling to speed up the receiving process?

While there are no special priority tags or exclusive arrangements, our logistics process is designed for efficiency. Shipments tend to be received faster due to:

  • High Volume Shipments – We send multiple trailers to various Amazon fulfillment centers daily.
  • Pre-Scheduled Appointments – Ensuring timely deliveries with minimal delays.
  • Fluid Loading (When Available) – Amazon has shorter lead times for unloading fluid-loaded shipments, helping products become available for sale more quickly.

Our streamlined logistics help optimize the receiving process without requiring special designations.


Product & Packaging Requirements

Does Pattern support hazmat/oversized items?

Yes, we support hazmat items and oversized items. 

 

Do you ship apparel and shoes?

Yes, we ship to all fulfillment centers, including those specific to apparel. Contact us for more details on costs and supported FCs.

 

What are the pallet requirements for shipping products to Pattern?

  • Use 40 x 48-inch, 4-way access pallets.
  • Shrink-wrap pallets securely.
  • Ensure contents fit within the pallet’s footprint (no more than 1 inch overhang).

 

Are CHEP or plastic pallets allowed for MM customers?

We do not accept CHEP or plastic pallets; only standard pallets are allowed.


Truckload & Freight Logistics

 

Can pallets be double-stacked in trucks to your warehouse?

Yes, double-stacked pallets are allowed if they’re under 96” and properly stacked to prevent damage.

 

Can pallets be loaded sideways to accommodate 30 pallets per truck?

Yes, we accept side-loaded pallets and can accommodate up to 30 pallets per truck.

 

Are there limits to the number of shipments or pallets we can send per truck?

No limits! But if you expect high volumes, please inform us in advance so we can ensure everything runs smoothly.

 

Can we send multiple FBA shipments in one truckload to a Pattern Warehouse?

Yes, you can send multiple FBA shipments in one truckload. We'll take care of the rest!


Delivery & Processing Times

 

How long does it typically take for a shipment to reach an Amazon FC after arriving at a Pattern Warehouse?

On average, it takes 4.1 days for shipments to reach an Amazon FC. Shipments routed to West Coast FCs may take slightly longer.

 

Does Pattern unload the truck, or does the driver?

Pattern handles all truck unloading, no extra equipment is needed from you!
